The World of 1230
In 1204 the knights of the Fourth Crusade took Constantinople and crowned a Latin emperor. The Greek world broke apart: Nicaea and Trebizond each claimed the heritage of Rome, while Latin barons, Venice and Genoa divided the islands and the ports.
To the east, the Sultanate of Rum holds Anatolia, the Ayyubids hold Egypt and Jerusalem, and a caliph still sits in Baghdad. From deep in the steppe, the Mongols are already riding west.
The game begins at this moment. What happens next is up to you.

IThe Strategic Map
Fifty-seven provinces from the Balkans to Mesopotamia, with relief, rivers, roads and sea lanes. Armies march, towns grow, and trade hubs keep the treasury full.
IIThe Battlefield
Real-time battles in 3D. Your orders travel by messenger, so they arrive late. A commander with a higher Sword builds longer chains of actions and sets "if, then" triggers. At sea, Greek fire burns.
IIIThe Court and the Cards
Events, Tasks and Manna come as cards. Your lords have faces, families, character and plans of their own, and each can uphold the throne or threaten it.
IVFaith and Government
Orthodoxy, Catholicism, Islam, the Armenian and Jacobite churches, Tengrism and the old faiths. The form of government decides what a ruler may do and what the people will bear.
The World Around the Game
Dozens of realms live beyond the map, and new ones can rise on it: from peoples, from faith, from the old lands of the provinces. Click a panel to enlarge it.
The Main Menu

An independent studio from Ukraine. The game is written in C++ and OpenGL, and every realm, coat of arms and province is built from historical sources.
